LYNNWOOD, Wash. - In March, Brighton students raised over $2000 to buy ingrediants to create packaged meals for needy families.Then on April 2nd Brighton students joined with Chidren of the Nations to assemble the ingredients into packaged meals to be shipped to Africa. Over the course of the day, students packaged 8800 meals.
LYNNWOOD, Wash. - In Donna Kern's first grade class at Lynnwood's Brighton School, the lesson of the day is that there is no amount of time, no gift, no person too small to give.
Students at Brighton School in Lynwood just finished a Haiti relief effort project at the school. Wearing Haitian colors and waving handmade flags, children from preschool to eighth grade stood in solidarity and learned a lesson in compassion for victims of the Haiti earthquake.
Students at Brighton School in Lynnwood, from preschool to eighth grade, held a coin drive and raised $2,200 for Children of the Nations, a nonprofit that helps feed needy families in Africa.
