The Brighton Athletic Program is designed to allow all students to participate in school-sponsored activities regardless of ability level, challenging all students involved to develop to their highest potential. As a member of the Cascade Middle School League, we stress the importance of the athlete's development, teamwork and enjoyment over a "must win" attitude. This has led to 90% of middle school students actively participating in the Brighton athletics program. Key components of the program include the following:
- The Brighton Athletics Program focuses on teamwork, skill development, physical conditioning and fun.
- Our primary goal is to develop the skills and attitudes to support a lifelong love of sports and conditioning.
- Brighton Athletics emphasizes inclusion, employing a no-cut policy and playing all students equally.
- Brighton belongs to the Cascade Middle School League within the Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association based out of Seattle consisting of many local private schools in the Puget Sound.
